A 44 × 44 km map of Zürich, Lake Zürich, Zug, Rapperswil and Einsiedeln. Every block is one metre of real Switzerland, built from the federal survey.

Features
Each layer comes from an official Swiss dataset. Heights, roofs, lake depths and tree positions are surveyed values. Where the data is silent, a stated rule fills the gap instead of guesswork.
swissALTI3D · 0.5 m lidar terrain
Terrain comes from swisstopo's national lidar model. Walk the Uetliberg ridge, the Albis and the Sihl valley exactly as steep as they are.
swissBUILDINGS3D · GWR · SWISSIMAGE
Roof shapes come from swisstopo's 3D building models, building types from the federal building register, and roof colours are measured from aerial photos.
swissBATHY3D · measured lake beds
Lake Zürich is filled to its real bed, measured by swisstopo's bathymetric survey. Dive down and the lake floor is where it is in reality.
swissTLM3D
Roads, tracks and paths at their real width. Rail beds are graded, and underpasses such as Langstrasse are dug out with lit portals and clearance.
Cadastral survey · AV
The cantonal land survey covers every parcel, so sidewalks, yards, gardens, vineyards and fields sit where they are on the ground.
swissSURFACE3D · NFI
Tree heights from the lidar surface model, deciduous or coniferous from the national forest inventory, and single trees at their recorded locations.
Survey single objects
Thousands of surveyed garden and terrace walls, symmetric stone fountains where the city has fountains, and park benches along the paths.
Bridges & piers
Bridge decks at their measured heights, standing on surveyed piers, with open space below for roads, rails and rivers.
Vanilla Java 1.21.1
Plain vanilla blocks. A small bundled data pack only raises the world height so the region fits from lake bed to hilltop.

The map runs on plain vanilla. For a world this size these Fabric mods make it smooth, let you see across the lake and fly fast. Pick the versions marked 1.21.1.
Loader
Runs the mods. The easiest way is Prism Launcher: create a 1.21.1 instance, choose Fabric and add the mods below from its Mods tab.
Performance
Optimises game logic such as chunk loading and entities, without changing gameplay.
View distance
Draws far terrain as simplified detail levels. From the Uetliberg you see the lake all the way to Rapperswil.
Flight
Adjustable creative flight speed. Cross the city in seconds or glide slowly along a street.
Library
Cloth Config is required by Creative Fly. Mod Menu is optional and opens its speed settings in game.
The generator behind this map will be released on GitHub. Point it at any Swiss coordinates and build your own town, valley or summit.

This map is built from Swiss open government data. The data providers have not endorsed this project.
