Privacy policy

Privacy

This policy explains what personal data is processed when you visit this website, in line with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP/nDSG) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Short version

Controller

The controller is the operator of this website, a private individual in Switzerland (see Impressum). For privacy questions and requests write to contact@example.ch.

Hosting and server logs

This website and the map download are served from a rented server in Germany. The hosting provider processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement.

To deliver a page or file, the web server necessarily processes your IP address and the request (requested file, time, browser user agent). The web server is configured to keep no access logs, so this data is not stored after the request is answered. Under the GDPR the legal basis is our legitimate interest in delivering the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The server is located in Germany, which offers adequate data protection under Swiss law.

Requests reach the server through a content delivery network operated by a company based in the USA, which passes them on and protects the site against attacks. It processes your IP address and the request for that purpose. The provider is certified under the Swiss-US and EU-US Data Privacy Frameworks.

Email

If you write an email, your address and message are used only to answer you and are deleted when they are no longer needed.

Cookies and local storage

This website sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.

External links

Links to other websites, such as Modrinth or the Fabric and Prism Launcher pages, are ordinary links. No data is sent to those websites until you click one. Their own privacy policies then apply.

Your rights

You may request information about your personal data, and its correction, deletion or restriction of processing. You may object to processing and, under the GDPR, request data portability. Send your request to the address above.

You may also complain to a supervisory authority: in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, edoeb.admin.ch); in the EU the authority of your country of residence.

Changes

This policy is updated when the website changes. The version published here applies.
